Freelance Musicians Association

As the chair of the Freelance Musicians Association Steering Committee, Kale led a group of dedicated Local Officers including Edmund Velasco, Tammy Noreyko, Nate Omdal, and John Shipley in bringing the FMA to the point of recognition by the International Executive Board. The steering committee’s main goal was to create a players conference that was built by rank and file members.

About Kale

Freelance Classical Trumpet Player & Local 6 President

I am running for the International Executive Board to be a part of building a stronger, more responsive union. Our future depends on organizing freelance musicians and ensuring local officers have the tools and support they need to be successful. We need to modernize our technological infrastructure and make sure we are relevant to a new generation of musicians. As a Local President, I have seen firsthand how critical it is to have a voice at the table where decisions are made. As a member of the IEB, I would bring a commitment to growth, a collaborative approach, and a dedication to supporting our rank and file musicians.
